This course is an extensive introduction to the Linux operating system, including usage of many of its commands and utilities. It also covers the standard Linux system file editor and basic shell programming.
The course adopts a 60 percent lecture and 40 percent hands-on labs approach to foster the participants’ real-world job skills.
The course, along with HQ6U2S: HPE Linux System Administration, prepares participants to take and pass the LPIC-1 exam.

This course is the first part of the curriculum for students who wish to study and take the LPIC-1 Certification.
Upon successful completion of this class, students will have learned how to:
• Use a Linux system effectively and save time by automating tasks with shell programs
